I’m a little behind on this post, as Earth day was yesterday! However, we really should celebrate the earth everyday! There are so many great ways to do this and one that I practice everyday is cloth diapering! Here’s our story about cloth diapering… Continue reading
It’s finally warming up here in blustery Wisconsin, and that means summer is coming! Hopefully, as the forecast this week says today will be 70 and snow on Wednesday. Either way I’m prepared for the summer sun, and I was recently able to try out a new Gluten Free sunscreen!
I am a PinchMe member, and every month they offer new samples to those who qualify. You have to fill out a few surveys and provide them with feedback every month letting them know what you thought about the products you were able to try. It’s a great way to try out products you may have never purchased on your own, like Goddess Garden sunscreen!
We try to live a fairly eco-friendly lifestyle in our home, we cloth diaper, use some natural products, recycle, and reuse or repurpose items when possible. Yet, there are some items that I’m always hesitant to try out the “natural” version, simply because I’m afraid they won’t work as well as my tried and true products. Yet, I put Goddess Garden sunscreen to the test on my very pale skin, and was pleasantly surprised that I did not burn. It also did not leave that greasy feeling that some sunscreens do, and I wasn’t chalky white after applying it either. They offer a baby version which I will be purchasing to use on the little picky eater this summer!
You can visit the Goddess Garden website to learn more about the sunscreen, or see the other products that they offer!

I was recently chosen by Smiley360 to sample the new SweeTARTS Soft & Chewy Ropes for free, which are NOT gluten free, but my household isn’t entirely gluten free. Therefore, my husband was actually chosen. My husband is one of those people who has an iron stomach and will basically eat anything. His family eats licorice like it’s going out of style, and this candy is very reminiscent of licorice, with a new twist.
I love Pizza! I mean who doesn’t? There are a million ways to customize pizza so that it becomes your own creation. Yet, when I started eating gluten free, pizza wasn’t on my list of mainstream options. I tried numerous recipes for homemade pizza dough, and while some of them turned out decent, they all lacked something.
Then Papa Murphy’s went ahead and did something amazing! They partnered with Udi’s and are now offering gluten free pizza crust! If you have never been to a Papa Murphy’s they offer Take ‘N Bake pizzas, meaning you create it in store, and then take it home to bake whenever you are ready. If you have someone in your household that can eat gluten, but not eggs, I highly recommend the cookie dough! It’s amazing and can be consumed without cooking because it contains no eggs!
My favorite Papa Murphy’s pizza is a gluten free crust with pineapple, extra pineapple, extra cheese!
